Iran’s Defiant Response to Donald Trump On Nuclear Deals: “Do Whatever the Hell You Want”

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has told US President Donald Trump to “do whatever the hell” he wants regarding the nuclear deal talks. This statement comes amidst escalating tensions between the two nations.

Pezeshkian’s remarks, as reported by Iranian state media, were a direct address to Trump. He emphasized that Iran will not negotiate under threats, stating, “It is unacceptable for us that they (the U.S.) give orders and make threats. I won’t even negotiate with you. Do whatever the hell you want.”

This stance was echoed by Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who stated that Tehran would not be pressured into negotiations.

The comments came after Trump claimed to have sent a letter urging Iran to engage in talks on a new nuclear deal.

The backstory to this development is the US withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear pact and the reimposition of economic sanctions. Since then, Iran has accelerated its nuclear activities, prompting concerns from the international community.

Trump’s approach to Iran has been characterized by a “maximum pressure” campaign, aimed at isolating Iran from the global economy and reducing its oil exports. However, Iran has denied seeking nuclear weapons, despite the International Atomic Energy Agency’s warnings about Tehran’s accelerated uranium enrichment.
