Mido Labels Ronaldo “Uncoachable,” Claims He Overwhelms Authority of Coaches
Former Tottenham Hotspur and Egyptian international striker Ahmed “Mido” Hossam has sparked controversy with his comments about football icon Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to Mido, Ronaldo’s commanding presence and outspoken personality make him difficult for top-tier managers to handle.
Mido stated that Ronaldo “cancels out the personality of any coach he works with,” unlike players like Karim Benzema, who he believes gives coaches their due respect and knows his role well. Mido went further, suggesting that even elite coaches would think twice before agreeing to manage a team led by Ronaldo.
Ronaldo’s past disputes with coaches, particularly Erik ten Hag during his final months at Manchester United, have often made headlines. His outspoken approach has raised concerns about his impact on team dynamics and coaching authority.
Mido’s comments come as Ronaldo is reportedly eyeing a move away from Al-Nassr after hinting that his time in the Saudi Pro League may be coming to an end. Mido implied that this could be due to Ronaldo’s dwindling options in top-level football.
