Man Arrested in Kano Hisbah for Allegedly Trying to Traffick Two Girls Abroad.
A suspected effort at human trafficking involving two females who were allegedly being transported out of the state for domestic work overseas has been stopped by Kano authorities.
Agents from the Kano State Hisbah Board detained 25-year-old Bala Haruna for allegedly attempting to traffic two girls for domestic labor in Arab countries.
The guy was allegedly attempting to take the girls out of town when they were apprehended on Thursday in one of the city’s parking lots.

The information was revealed on Friday by Dr. Mujahid Aminuddeen, Deputy Commander-General of the Kano State Hisbah Board.
In his words,
“The suspect, from Kazaure Local Government Area of Jigawa State, was apprehended alongside two girls, Fatima Safiyanu, 23, from Daura in Katsina State, and Hasiya Haruna, 11, from Kazaure in Jigawa State.”
In order to take the required legal action, investigations are underway to uncover how he planned to organise the victims’ journey.
Aminuddeen claims that the board has turned over the suspects to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) and advised women, parents, and the public to be cautious of those who are hiring people for domestic work overseas and to confirm the legitimacy of any job offers before accepting them.
