Nigerian man creates a debate by juxtaposing life in Nigeria with the US welfare system. (VIDEO)
Video of a Nigerian man named Oyindamola at a lakeside has caused a lot of backlash online after he made comparisons between living in Nigeria and the United States.
In a video shot on a sunny lakeside, a Nigerian man named Oyindamola describes how, in the face of widespread unemployment and poverty in Nigeria, access to public services in the United States, such as free education, parks, and aid for low-income citizens, has replaced the fervent prayers he once made back home.

Online reactions to the video were mixed. While some saw it as a scathing indictment of Nigeria’s poor leadership, religious voices countered that prayer had a more profound spiritual function than merely expressing demands.
The film discusses the wider conflicts underlying Nigeria’s expanding “Japa” emigration wave, in which millions of people continue to leave the country in search of better living conditions and more dependable systems overseas.

Since I came to America, I haven’t prayed for more than 10 minutes, all the things I use to pray for back in Nigeria, I got to the USA and found out that the government already provided everything for free… So why do i need to be praying for 1 hour? pic.twitter.com/BS0A03t50C
