MI Abaga Announces Name Change and New Album
The award-winning rapper also revealed that he will change his present stage name to something more appropriate for the forthcoming album.
On Thursday, MI made the announcement on his social media channels.
While he did not reveal the new name, he did indicate that he intends to drop his 15-year-old stage name because his upcoming album deserves to be released under a fresh moniker.

He also disclosed that he would be performing as MI Abaga for the final time on July 10.
“After over 15 Years as Mister Incredible, I will be retiring the name ‘MI Abaga’ and taking on a new name for a new project because my new project is hard AF and deserves a new name,” he wrote.
“My final act as MI will be a performance at The Vibe on the 10th of July, where I will celebrate my legacy as Africa’s Greatest Rapper. See you all on stage.”
The record, titled The Guy, is set to be released in August.
The announcement comes shortly after the release of The Lamb is Back, his collaboration album effort with A-Q and Blaqbones.
