The Nigeria National Coalition Group has formally applied to the Independent National Electoral Commission for the registration of a new political party, the All Democratic Alliance.
The application, dated June 19, 2025, and received by INEC on June 20, 2025, outlines the party’s name, acronym ADA, and slogan “Justice for All”. The party’s logo features a corn symbol, and its constitution and manifesto have been attached to the application.
The decision to float a new political party was backed by extensive deliberations and the recommendation of a committee headed by former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi.
The coalition considered merging with existing parties but withdrew due to concerns about internal wrangling and ongoing litigations.
The All Democratic Alliance is linked to a coalition of prominent politicians, including:
- Atiku Abubakar: Former Vice President of Nigeria
- Nasir El-Rufai: Ex-Kaduna State Governor
- Rotimi Amaechi: Former Rivers State Governor
The party’s application includes its logo, manifesto, constitution, flag, and minutes of meetings, in accordance with the provisions of the Nigerian Constitution and the Electoral Act.
