50-year-old man in Imo Odoma, a father of four, Killed himself due to financial hardship.
The father, who was unable to support himself and his family due to financial challenges, Killed himself in the Amakpu Okuku community in the Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State.
Today, August 22, locals discovered his body hanging in an incompleted building next to his home.
Villagers said that approximately three months ago, Odomma threatened suicide after he claimed that his wife and kids had stopped feeding him since he was unable to support the family.

According to Punch that was informed by a community member who is known as Ikenna said that the deceased had confided in a few friends about his frustrations.
He stated,
“He said if the situation continued, he would take his life to end the misery. We advised him to report the matter to the village head for settlement. Sadly, he chose this path. Just see how this man ended his life because of money. He could have sold his GP tank or generator to get food, but he decided to take his life. Now others will gather to eat and he won’t be part of it,”
Odomma, who sold water for ₦100 and more and was well-liked by the neighborhood, was said to be industrious but had been demonstrating signs of depression lately.
