As Nigeria gears up for the 2027 general elections, Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, has made a heartfelt appeal to former northern legislators to rally behind the president’s re-election campaign.
Speaking at a recent dialogue session held in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, Gbajabiamila emphasized President Tinubu’s role as a true national leader who has united every region of the country.
“President Tinubu is not just a southern leader; he is a national leader who has carried every region along,” he stated firmly.
Highlighting the administration’s commitment to balanced development, Gbajabiamila pointed to the numerous ongoing infrastructure projects across northern Nigeria, including expansive road networks, rail system upgrades, and agricultural revitalization programs.

These initiatives, he said, underscore the government’s dedication to equity and shared prosperity nationwide.
“Nigeria’s progress depends on unity, continuity, and respect for political agreements.
We are laying solid foundations today, and it is only right that the president is allowed to finish what he started,” Gbajabiamila urged.
The Chief of Staff further reassured the northern audience that their region continues to reap significant benefits from President Tinubu’s policies and reforms. “From critical infrastructure to policy reforms, the north is benefitting from a government that believes in equity and shared prosperity,” he affirmed.
Gbajabiamila’s message is a clear call for collective support and political cohesion, signaling the administration’s efforts to build a broad coalition for Tinubu’s bid for a second term.
