In Area 1, Mhlasini, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, on Sunday, February 23, 2025., a man was allegedly assaulted and stabbed with a broken beer bottle by his girlfriend during a heated argument.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) responded to the scene at approximately 11:14.
Upon arrival, they met with the male victim, who explained that the dispute arose when his girlfriend failed to return home on Saturday night. When she arrived the next morning, he questioned her about her whereabouts, leading to a violent confrontation.
According to the victim, his girlfriend grabbed a beer bottle and began assaulting him. The bottle burst during the assault, and she then used the broken glass to stab him in the shoulder and arm. The suspect fled the scene after the attack.
Despite the severity of the incident, the injured male declined to register a criminal case against his girlfriend. Instead, he sought medical assistance privately.
