Manchester United Make Third Bid for Bryan Mbeumo as Brentford Weigh Decision

Manchester United have ramped up their pursuit of Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo, submitting a third offer worth £65 million plus £5 million in add-ons.

The bid comes after Brentford rejected United’s earlier proposals of £55 million and £62.5 million.

Despite reported interest from Tottenham, Mbeumo is believed to have his sights firmly set on a move to Old Trafford. The 25-year-old Cameroon international is said to be keen on joining United, where he is seen as a perfect fit for Ruben Amorim’s tactical setup.

Brentford are currently considering the latest offer and have yet to make a final decision. Internally, there’s an understanding that Mbeumo has earned the opportunity to move to a top club, provided his valuation is met.

However, Brentford face a tricky situation. Letting go of both Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa in one summer is seen as highly unlikely, especially following the departures of head coach Thomas Frank and captain Christian Nørgaard.

If Bryan Mbeumo completes his move to United, it could impact other clubs’ transfer strategies. Newcastle United, for example, had shown interest in Wissa as a backup option after missing out on Hugo Ekitike, who now prefers a switch to Liverpool.

But with Brentford reluctant to lose both of their attacking stars, Wissa’s future could be tied to Mbeumo’s fate.
