Manchester United Makes Improved £60m Bid for Brentford Striker Bryan Mbeumo
Manchester United has submitted an improved bid of over £60 million for Brentford striker Bryan Mbeumo, following an initial offer of £45 million plus up to £10 million in add-ons that was rejected earlier this month.
The 25-year-old Cameroon international scored 20 goals and provided 8 assists in 38 Premier League games last season, catching the attention of several top clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur.
Why Manchester United Wants Mbeumo
Mbeumo’s Premier League experience is viewed as a major positive, as manager Ruben Amorim needs players who can hit the ground running to make a more positive start to the season. With Matheus Cunha already signed from Wolves for £62.5 million, Mbeumo would become United’s second signing of the summer, strengthening Amorim’s squad before pre-season training begins on July 7 .
Despite Brentford’s initial rejection, United’s persistence and Mbeumo’s desire to join the Red Devils have pushed the transfer closer to completion.
Sources suggest Brentford would want at least the same fee as Wolves received for Cunha before agreeing to sell Mbeumo, who still has a year left on his contract.

Talks between Manchester United and Brentford are set to continue this week, with the deal likely to be finalized by the end of the month.
Mbeumo’s potential absence due to Cameroon’s participation in the Africa Cup of Nations, which could see him miss four weeks of the 2025-26 campaign, might be a consideration for United.
