Napoli President Reportedly Tells Galatasaray to “Get Lost” Over Osimhen Transfer
The summer transfer window has taken a turn as tensions flare between Napoli and Galatasaray over the potential transfer of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
According to Turkish football analyst Uğur Karakullukçu, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis shut down negotiations in a fiery exchange with Galatasaray officials, allegedly telling them to “get lost” during a meeting on his boat in Italy.
“He didn’t actually say ‘get lost’—it was something much harsher. I’m putting it politely,” Karakullukçu said, via Habersarikirmizi.
The statement has reportedly derailed what was shaping up to be a major deal. Osimhen, who had a sensational loan spell at Galatasaray last season, scoring 37 goals and providing 8 assists, had already agreed personal terms for a reported €16 million-per-year contract.
Despite the player’s clear interest in staying in Istanbul, the dispute now revolves around the structure of the transfer fee. Galatasaray proposed a staggered payment plan for the €75 million release clause, including a sell-on clause, but Napoli remain adamant about receiving a significant upfront payment and have refused to budge.
Karakullukçu didn’t hold back in his criticism of Galatasaray’s management either, accusing them of misleading the media and fans.

“If you’re dealing with someone like De Laurentiis, why tell journalists, ‘Only final details remain’ or ‘We’re just waiting on timing’?” he said.
With the Champions League on the horizon, Galatasaray are still hopeful of reaching a breakthrough—but Napoli’s firm stance and De Laurentiis’ fiery response may force them to look elsewhere.
