Reports concerning Uber and Bolt activities in Nigeria’s airports have been refuted by the airport authority, which claims that the ride-hailing services have not been outright prohibited.

According to Nigeria’s airport authorities, Uber and Bolt are still permitted to operate at airports.

Instead, it is collaborating with ride-hailing services to establish regulations that let them to function while adhering to airport regulations.

Reports and worries regarding the state of these services at Nigerian airports prompted the clarification.

According to the government, its stance is not intended to limit passengers‘ options for transportation or minimize the significance of ride-hailing services.

This enables the airport to monitor cars and drivers and react promptly in the event of security or passenger problems.

The authority claimed to have received complaints regarding passenger solicitation and touting at airport terminals and their environs.

In order to create a practical framework that acknowledges the importance of these services while fulfilling safety, security, and passenger experience criteria, the authority is now in talks with Uber, Bolt, and other operators.
