PDP Slams President Tinubu Over Reckless Borrowing, Urges Redemption
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a scathing rebuke of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, criticizing its reckless borrowing and financial mismanagement.
In a statement released on June 6, 2025, to mark the Eid-el-Kabir festivities, the PDP urged the Tinubu government to end its “profligacy, exploitation, deceit, and manipulations” that have caused hardship for Nigerians.
Key Demands from PDP
Stop Reckless Borrowing: The PDP condemned the government’s unsustainable loans, which yield no visible development impact, and urged an immediate end to mortgaging the nation’s future.
Recover Looted Funds: The party called for a sweeping recovery of over ₦30 trillion allegedly stolen by top APC figures through fraudulent oil deals and diverted agency funds.
Focus on Redemption: The PDP urged President Tinubu to use his remaining two-year term to redeem his image by being more sensitive to Nigerians’ well-being.

The PDP expressed deep concern over the nation’s future, citing worsening insecurity, economic hardship, and reckless mismanagement of national resources.
The party emphasized the need for the government to prioritize the well-being of Nigerians and address the country’s pressing issues.
