Tobi Amusan Clocks Season’s Best in Paris Diamond League
Nigeria’s track queen, Tobi Amusan, has delivered an impressive performance at the 2025 Paris Diamond League, finishing second in the women’s 100m hurdles with a season’s best time of 12.24 seconds.
This outstanding display marks her second-fastest time ever, behind only her world record of 12.12 seconds set in 2022.

Amusan stormed through the final meters, closing rapidly on Grace Stark of the United States, who won with a personal best and meeting record time of 12.21 seconds.
This time makes Stark the fifth-fastest woman ever over the 100m hurdles. Jamaica’s Ackera Nugent finished third with a swift 12.30 seconds.
Amusan’s campaign began modestly with fourth-place finishes in Xiamen (12.74s) and Shaoxing (12.66s). However, she bounced back emphatically with a season-best and meet record 12.45s to claim her first Diamond League win of the year in Rabat last month.
Paris marked her fourth Diamond League outing of the season, where she continues to build form and consistency ahead of major championships.
