Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the signing of Ghana international Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United in a deal worth £55 million.

The 24-year-old forward joins Spurs on a six-year contract, becoming the first player to move directly between the two London clubs since Scott Parker’s transfer in 2011.

Tottenham had an initial £50 million bid rejected before reaching an agreement closer to West Ham’s valuation of £60 million.

Mohammed Kudus was also a target for Chelsea and Newcastle, but made clear his desire to join Spurs, where he becomes one of the first major signings under new head coach Thomas Frank.

Kudus was identified as a priority target by Frank, who is looking to reshape Tottenham’s attacking line. Known for his ability to play across the front three, Kudus offers versatility and pace—key attributes in Frank’s high-energy system.

During his two seasons at West Ham, Kudus made 65 Premier League appearances, scoring 13 goals and providing 12 assists. He initially joined the Hammers from Ajax in 2023 for £38 million.

Michael Bridge at Sky Sports described the transfer as “unusual” due to the historic reluctance between the clubs to do business. “It’s usually unthinkable for West Ham to sell to Spurs, but Kudus only wanted one move,” he said.
