A 25-year-old woman named Rhiannon Evans has been fined and ordered to undergo rehabilitation for sending videos of herself farting to her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend.
According to prosecutors, Evans sent a total of seven videos to Deborah Prytherech, causing her distress and anxiety. The videos showed Evans passing gas while smiling at the camera.
Evans claimed that she sent the videos because she felt her partner was being treated unfairly by his ex.
However, the court deemed her actions “purely malicious” and fined her nearly £300, including £100 compensation for the victim and £199 for court costs.
As part of her sentence, Evans must undergo 15 rehabilitation sessions and abstain from alcohol for two months. She has also been given a two-year restraining order preventing her from contacting the victim.
