Saudi Arabia Confirms Eid Al-Fitr to Fall on Sunday, March 30, 2025
The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has announced that Eid Al-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan 1446, will be celebrated on Sunday, March 30, 2025. The confirmation comes after the crescent moon for the Islamic month of Shawwal was sighted in Saudi Arabia on Saturday.
Eid Al-Fitr, also known as the “Festival of Breaking the Fast,” is a significant Islamic holiday that commemorates the conclusion of a month of fasting, prayer, and reflection. The occasion is traditionally marked with special prayers, feasts, and acts of charity.
The Saudi Arabian lunar calendar is followed by several countries, and the confirmation of Eid Al-Fitr’s date will be observed by Muslims in the Kingdom and other nations. However, some countries may celebrate Eid on different days depending on local moon sightings.
