NAPTIP Launches Investigation into Sexual Abuse Allegations Against MFM General Overseer, Dr. Olukoya
The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has directed an immediate investigation into allegations of sexual abuse, intimidation, and exploitation levelled against Dr. Daniel Olukoya, the General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM).
The allegations were brought to light by a group of women under the banner of the Concerned Mothers Advocacy Group, who staged a protest at NAPTIP’s headquarters in Abuja, demanding a full-scale investigation into the matter.
The protesters submitted a detailed petition to NAPTIP’s Director-General, outlining accusations ranging from sexual assault and blackmail to legal intimidation and systemic cover-ups allegedly orchestrated by the church’s leadership.
NAPTIP’s Director-General, Binta Adamu Bello, has assured the public that the agency is taking the matter seriously and will ensure that justice is served where necessary. The agency has reiterated its zero-tolerance stance on all forms of abuse and exploitation, particularly those involving vulnerable individuals.
The investigation into the allegations against Dr. Olukoya is expected to shed light on the matter and bring perpetrators to justice, if found guilty.
