Former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a “stage 4 cancer” that must be removed from Nigeria’s political system.
Speaking on Arise News TV, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain didn’t hold back, blaming the APC for what he called years of failed governance, corruption, and national decline.
“We must remove this cancer called APC… it’s cancer level 4,” Lamido said during the live interview.
“APC is our problem. We must remove that corruption, which has become a cancer in Nigeria. And it has to be excised out.”
Lamido’s criticism targeted not only past APC administrations, especially the 10 years under the late President Muhammadu Buhari, but also the current government led by President Bola Tinubu.
“If Tinubu is Buhari, they’re all APC. Never vote for them because it’s a failure of the party and party leaders. It’s not about Tinubu. It’s about APC,” he added.
He argued that Nigeria’s problems stem more from the party’s structure and values than from individual leaders.
