“I Was Blind, Now I Can See” — Dino Melaye Regrets Backing APC, Slams Ruling Party
Former Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, has come forward with strong words of regret over his past support for the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing it as a major political mistake.
Speaking on Politics Today, a Channels Television program aired Friday, Melaye didn’t mince words. Reflecting on his previous affiliation with the ruling party, he said:
“Once I was blind, now I can see. I regret in totality. Just like you confess your sins daily in the Lord’s Prayer, I ask for forgiveness. Anyone who has moved with the devil, anyone who has aligned with an unholy tendency, should regret it.”
Melaye criticized the APC-led administration for the worsening socio-economic conditions in Nigeria, citing increasing poverty, hunger, and hardship across the country.
Now a key figure in the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Melaye believes the opposition party is positioned to mount a serious challenge in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
“I am confident that the ADC will rise as a credible force. Nigerians are tired, and change is coming,”he added.
