APC Party Says 2014 Immigration Stampede Under PDP Is Part Of Damage Causing Current Hunger Stampede

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has criticized the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for exploiting recent stampedes at palliative distribution centers, which resulted in multiple fatalities.

All progressive party spokesperson Felix Morka accused the PDP of using these tragedies for political gain, rather than showing genuine compassion for the victims and their families.

Morka drew parallels to the 2014 Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) recruitment exercise under the PDP-led administration, where several job seekers lost their lives in a stampede.

He argued that the PDP’s record undermines its current criticisms of the APC-led government.

The All progressive party pokesperson emphasized that the PDP’s accusations serve as a reminder of its own dismal record of mismanagement and incompetence. He noted that the APC-led government is dedicated to repairing the damage caused by nearly two decades of PDP governance.

Meanwhile, the PDP continues to hold the APC responsible for what it describes as systemic failures that led to the stampedes.

The APC’s response highlights the ongoing blame game between the two parties, with each side accusing the other of mismanagement and incompetence.

It’s worth noting that Nigeria’s economic and governance challenges are complex and multifaceted, and require a nuanced and bipartisan approach to resolve.
