The game will take place at the 85,000-seat River Plate stadium in Buenos Aires. Argentina will play Bolivia on September 30 and Burkina Faso on October 3 prior to the Benin match.
Messi’s 208th and final match for his nation will take place in Benin. With 125 goals, he is Argentina’s all-time top scorer.
It was a tough decision, but the moment was perfect, he added.
Messi’s contract with Inter Miami in the United States expires at the end of 2028.
