Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has urged patience and perspective from the media and supporters after the Blues’ 1-0 win over Manchester United.

Maresca emphasized that the current team is still in a transitional phase and needs time to build something important.

“The problem is that the press thinks it is the same Chelsea from years ago. It is not the same. It is about building something important. People have to trust us — we are going in the right direction,” Maresca said.

Club captain Reece James echoed the ambition driving Chelsea’s end-of-season push, stating, “The Champions League is where Chelsea belongs, competing in the big competitions.” Chelsea currently sits fourth on the table with 66 points, level with Aston Villa and Newcastle United but ahead on goal difference.

Meanwhile, Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim praised forward Rasmus Højlund’s efforts, noting that the young striker needs to improve his connection with the team. Amorim also hinted that individual performances in the match have given him clarity ahead of the Europa League Final.

The win has bolstered Chelsea’s top-four hopes and added intensity to the Premier League title race. With the season’s final stretch approaching, Chelsea’s latest result and internal belief could prove decisive.
