Fury and Joshua Should Fight Each Other Now, Says George Groves
Former world champion George Groves believes that the best and only option left for both Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury is to fight each other.
With both boxers coming off losses, Groves thinks it’s time for them to put their differences aside and face off in the ring.
Why Fury and Joshua Should Fight Each Other
According to Groves, fighting each other is the most logical choice for both boxers. “If I was either guy, I’d just fight each other and that’s it. I wouldn’t bother with any other fights,” Groves told Sky Sports.
He believes that the grudge match between the two British heavyweights will finally happen, and it’s just a matter of finding the right price. “There must be a number that makes it worthwhile for both guys. Maybe they’re just waiting for that number,” Groves said.

The Current State of Fury and Joshua’s Careers
Tyson has announced his retirement from boxing, but his promoter Frank Warren says he’s unsure if Fury will stay retired. Fury has been regularly releasing footage of himself training, fueling speculation about a potential comeback.
Meanwhile, Anthony Joshua hasn’t boxed since September last year, when he lost to IBF belt-holder Daniel Dubois.
With Dillian Whyte opting to box Moses Itauma instead of pursuing a rematch with Joshua, it’s unclear who Joshua’s next opponent will be.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding Fury’s retirement, Groves believes that a fight between Tyson and Joshua will happen. “I’m pretty sure they’ll box in September, October, rematch next year,” Groves said.
However, this would require Fury to come out of retirement, and Warren says that decision still remains in the balance.
