In Ondo, a 30-year-old jealous boyfriend shot his prostitute partner.
Seun was paraded alongside 45 other suspects who had been detained by the state security agency Amotekun for a variety of criminal offenses, including kidnapping, armed robbery, theft, and snatching of motorcycles.
Seun claimed that his commercial sex girlfriend had been ignoring him and paying attention to other guys instead.
“My lover, Enny, is a prostitute who frequently regularly visits Ikare Junction in Owo,” he claimed. After observing that she pays other men more attention than I do, I shot her.
He said, “We have been having issues for a while. That particular day, she repeated what I warned her against and I shot her because I was furious. But she did not die. I learned that she is in the hospital.
“I’m not a cultist and I have never shot anyone in my life. The gun that I used belongs to my father, who is a hunter.”
Adeleye, the commander of Amotekun, claimed that the woman eventually passed away from a gunshot wound.

A 65-year-old herbalist named Muritala Jimoh and five other suspect kidnappers who allegedly hypnotize their victims in the state’s Odigbo council area were also paraded.
Adeleye claimed that the herbalist strengthened the gang’s members before they underwent a surgery, and he added that the gang’s members are skilled at hypnotizing their targets before kidnapping them.
He stated that, “The six kidnap syndicate members use spiritual means to hypnotise people they carry on their motorcycle to an unknown destination.
“We have a case of one of them that specialises in killing motorcycle riders and dismantling the motorbikes before sending them out of the state. We tracked him to Ore in Odigbo where we arrested his accomplice and the ring leader escaped to Ogun State.”
