NCoS Releases Details of 7 Escaped Osun Inmates, Govt Offers N5m Reward
The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has confirmed the escape of seven inmates from the Medium Security Custodial Centre in Ilesa, Osun State.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, when heavy rainfall caused a breach in the prison’s perimeter fence.
The NCoS has released the names, ages, and addresses of the escapees:
1. John Micheal, 34 years old, from Emene, Enugu State
2. Tobi Akin, 19 years old, from Beside DC School Oke Ejigbo, Osun State
3. Eze Nweze, 40 years old, from No. 26 Ayegbajeje Ikorodu, Lagos State
4. Olalekan Ajofoyinbo, 45 years old, from Ilupeju Ekiti, Ekiti State
5. Ninalowo Yusuf, 28 years old, from No.1 Idowu Close Ojo, Lagos State
6. Mattew Ogunjimi, 20 years old, from No. 53 Owode Street Ikirun, Osun State
7. Kabiru Oyedun, 39 years old, from No. 56 Orita Agunla Omu Lagos
The NCoS is offering a reward of N5 million to anyone who provides useful information that leads to the recapture of the escapees. The public is urged to report any information to the nearest security agencies.
