NYSC Corps Member Expresses Concern About Alleged Misconduct and Disturbing Behaviour at the School Where she Serves (video).
According to corper, pupils as young as 12, 13 and 14 are engaging in worrying actions that no child their age should even understand, let alone normalize.
A female member of the National Youths Service Scheme, has revealed a frightening act of what she says is happening at the secondary school where she is currently serving – a revelation that has raised great concern.
She added what startled her even more is how nonchalantly some of the youngsters, including boys, talk about topics that should never be part of a child’s life. It all seems “normal” to them.
But the most worrisome part of her narrative is the allegation that certain instructors and school authorities are supporting the behaviour instead of setting boundaries. She asserts that she has heard remarks implying that some employees ignore the issue or, worse, exacerbate it.
The corps member, who was obviously devastated, asked how society came to expose kids to such harmful influences at such a young age.
She stated that at age 12, her main fear was Christmas outfits — not any of the problems she is hearing from pupils today.
Now she’s urgently searching for a method to make a positive effect but admits she feels overwhelmed and confused where to even begin.
