Pastor Adeboye Calls for Release of TikToker SeaKing Who Allegedly Cyberbullied Him
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has called for the immediate release of popular TikToker Olumide Ogunsanwo, also known as “SeaKing.”
SeaKing was re-arrested on Thursday at the Lagos State court premises over allegations of cyberbullying against Pastor Adeboye.
However, speaking during a church program on Friday, February 7, Pastor Adeboye distanced himself from the arrest, stating that some individuals angered by SeaKing’s remarks took it upon themselves to take action.
Adeboye urged the Nigerian police to release SeaKing, saying, “He is fulfilling prophecy.”
Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore had earlier expressed concern over the decline of the Nigeria Police Force, describing it as “disheartening, disgusting, and frightening.”
Sowore’s team had met with the Federal Investigation Department (FID) of the Nigeria Police Force to discuss SeaKing’s ordeal.
The police had claimed that a petition was submitted by Paul James Adama, representing a Christian association, on behalf of Pastor Adeboye.
However, Sowore questioned how a TikTok video could be considered bullying or threats to someone as prominent and protected as Pastor Adeboye.
The Nigerian Police Force faces numerous challenges, including institutional, structural, and operational issues.
