Sinatu Adeoye Judgement Land – Governor Adeleke is urged to put an end to the land-grabbing militia endangering the peace of Osun.
An estate management firm has petitioned the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, over the “heinous activities” of a land-grabbing militia accused of invading the judgment land belonging to Madam Sinatu Adeoye of Osogbo.
The company cautions that if the group’s activities are not stopped, they could undo the government’s progress and endanger state peace.
In a four-page petition authored by Opias Real Estate Management Nigeria Limited and signed by its counsel, Kintai Kintai and Associates, the petitioner described the group’s incessant attacks on land judgment as worrisome.
The firm alleged that the militia’s primary “stock in trade” is committing criminal trespass on designated lands across the state capital, particularly, the Sinatu Adeoye’s judgement creditor land on both sides of the Osogbo–Ikirun Road, covering areas such as Powerline, Omidiran Garden, Iyana Camp, Biket Junction Area, and Ifesowapo Community, sharing boundaries with the Bidire family and adjoining communities.
The petition, dated April 21, 2026, made available to the newsmen on Friday, was also copied to security chiefs and top government officials.
It contends that these inimical acts constitute a grave security threat to the state’s ongoing development, especially as the group reportedly boasts of having “backing from the seat of power in Abuja.” The militia members have allegedly bragged that even the State Governor is powerless to stop them.
According to Opias Real Estate Management, the militia has focused its atrocities on a disputed land that Governor Adeleke recently ordered the police to investigate.
The late Madam Sinatu Adeoye, from whom the estate firm obtained its title, is said to have owned the land, according to that probe.
To the dismay of the company, however, the legitimate owner has been unable to exercise her rights due to the infamous syndicate.
According to reports, the group broke into the area, firing intermittently, damaging buildings valued at millions of Naira, and injuring multiple people.
The petitioner, therefore, called on the Governor to curb the escalating menace, describing the militia’s operations as a “time bomb” that must not be allowed to explode.
“In an era where a large part of the country is battling insecurity, it is appalling to have men parading themselves as unidentifiable private militias, roaming in public with sophisticated arms not even seen among our recognised security outfits,” Kintai Kintai and Associates remarked.
The petition, titled “Let It Not Be Said That We Didn’t Scream Enough,” was addressed to the State Attorney General, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, the Assistant Inspector General of Police, and the Osun State Commissioner of Police.
Other recipients include the State Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), the Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the State Commissioner for Lands, and the Surveyor-General of Osun State.
