15 NYSC Corps Members Captured in a New Attack on the Kogi Highway.
Gunmen abducted fifteen members of the National Youth Service Corps along the Ofu and Itobe-Onicha-Igo axis of the Ofu Local Government Area in Kogi State.

After gunmen allegedly stopped two buses in Kogi State, the trip from the NYSC orientation centre to Abuja took a terrifying turn.
The corps members were abducted on Wednesday while making route to Abuja from the NYSC Orientation Camp in Bayelsa State.
They were part of the 2026 Batch B Stream II and had finished their orientation before embarking on their adventure.
Ayodele David was one among the young people kidnapped.
A Peace Mass Transit bus and another car were also struck by the abductors.
After being hurt during the attack, the Peace Mass Transit bus driver was transported to the hospital for medical attention.
Witnesses reported that the abductors spoke English, Hausa, and Fulfulde. Nevertheless, it was impossible to independently verify the attackers’ identity.

Before stealing the passengers, the attackers were seen firing at the cars on the scene’s video.
One bus had sixteen passengers on the manifest, but the driver said the bus was full, so one corps member was moved to another vehicle.
The driver clarified that although there were sixteen passengers on the list, only fifteen were really taken.
As of the time reports were submitted, no ransom demand had been made.
