On Thursday, the 27-year-old was named the winner of the award at a gala in Rabat, Morocco.
This is her fifth time winning the award, surpassing former Falcons striker Perpetua Nkwocha.
In 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2019, Oshoala was named the best African female footballer.
Sadio Mane defeated Mohamed Salah and Eduard Mendy to be named the 2022 CAF ‘Player of the Year.’

Pape Matar Sarr of Senegal and Tottenham Hotspur won the men’s ‘Young Player of the Year,’ while Evelyn Badu of Ghana won the women’s category.
