Binance Executive Accuses Nigerian National Security Adviser of Corruption

Tigran Gambaryan, a former US federal agent and Binance employee, has made shocking allegations against Nigeria’s National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu.

Gambaryan claims that Ribadu demanded billions of dollars in payouts to fund his political ambitions.

Gambaryan’s allegations stem from his detention in Nigeria in February 2024, where he was held for eight months on allegations of money laundering and tax evasion.

He was eventually released in October 2024 after the Nigerian government dropped the charges following US diplomatic pressure.

According to Gambaryan, Ribadu’s actions were driven by greed and a desire for power.

He alleges that Ribadu hired a US law firm to negotiate his release, but the firm’s incompetence and greed led to the effort’s failure.

Gambaryan also claims that Ribadu’s actions embarrassed Nigeria internationally, leading to diplomatic repercussions.

He alleges that the US restricted visas for the Nigerian delegation at the United Nations General Assembly and that then-President Joe Biden declined to meet with President Tinubu until the matter was resolved.
