Cherubim & Seraphim Church Denounces Bishop’s “Tongue-to-Tongue” Ordination Ceremony
The Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria has publicly condemned a viral video depicting a bishop performing a “tongue-to-tongue” anointing ceremony.
The church described the act as “horrific” and “despicable” before God and humanity.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the church distanced itself from the individuals involved, emphasizing that they are not affiliated with the Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria and do not represent its doctrines or values.
The church expressed deep concern over the video’s content, particularly the unauthorized use of its religious symbols and the mention of its revered founder, St. Moses Orimolade Tunolase.
The church identified the key figure in the video as Alfred Oluwasegun Okikiola Ogunnusi, who refers to himself as “His Eminence Baba Aladura LAHOJAH.” The ceremony reportedly took place in Ogijo, Ogun State.
The Cherubim & Seraphim Church reaffirmed its strict opposition to idolatry, noting that the actions in the video blatantly contradicted its beliefs.
The church also clarified that not everyone who wears a white garment is a member of the C&S Church, urging the public not to assume affiliations based solely on appearance.
