Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has stirred political waters once again — this time daring President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to release the long-suppressed forensic audit report of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
In an appearance on Channels TV’s Politics Today, Wike didn’t hold back. He claimed the audit contains damning revelations about former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, and even vowed to resign from his current position if the report clears Amaechi of wrongdoing.
“If what I’m saying is not in that report, I will resign as FCT Minister. I don’t worship office,” Wike declared.
The feud between Wike and Amaechi, both prominent figures from Rivers State, has been long-standing and publicly contentious. But this latest development may be one of the most dramatic yet.
Wike alleged that Amaechi’s wife received ₦4 billion monthly through NDDC contracts supposedly meant for women empowerment in the Niger Delta — amounting to ₦48 billion annually.
“She was not an industrialist, yet her company got those funds,” Wike claimed.

He also pointed fingers at former Attorney-General Abubakar Malami, accusing him of deliberately suppressing the forensic audit report to protect powerful interests.
“Malami killed the forensic audit to shield those involved. Let Mr. President do Nigerians a favour and release that document.”
Wike didn’t stop there. He questioned Amaechi’s academic credentials, calling them “below average,” and dismissed recent claims that a Senator gifted Amaechi a Rolls-Royce. According to Wike, the luxury car was actually provided by a contractor handling most of Rivers State’s major projects under Amaechi’s administration.
With Wike publicly offering to stake his political career on the audit’s findings, pressure is mounting on the presidency to release the long-delayed report.
