Atiku Abubakar Isah, the factional president of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), remains in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) nearly two weeks after his arrest.
His detention followed allegations that Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu, offered him a N100 million bribe to abandon his presidential ambition in favor of a government-backed candidate.
“Atiku Isah is still in DSS custody. His wife came around to see, but he was denied permission to go with her,” a source revealed.

According to sources, Atiku was coerced into writing a retraction of his allegations against Seyi Tinubu and posing for a photograph with a gun placed in his hand, allegedly intended for use in blackmail.

Atiku’s family has raised alarm over his continued detention, claiming he is being held incommunicado and denied access to legal counsel and relatives.
“Our son has been abducted, stripped naked, and beaten to a pulp by known individuals who now boast freely on social media that nothing will happen to them because Tinubu is President,” a family member lamented.
