Brazilian superstar Neymar has given up a staggering $65 million of his remaining salary at Al Hilal to return to his childhood club, Santos.

The Saudi club confirmed the mutual termination of Neymar Jr.’s contract, paving the way for his emotional return to Santos FC, the club where he began his professional career.

Neymar’s decision to return to Brazil comes after a tough stint with Al Hilal, where injuries limited him to just seven matches and a single goal since joining in 2023.

The 32-year-old Brazilian forward is heading back to the São Paulo-based team over a decade after leaving for FC Barcelona in 2013.

To make the move happen, Neymar reportedly agreed to give up a whopping $71 million in unpaid wages with Al Hilal.

According to renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Neymar will travel to Brazil this week to undergo medical tests and sign with Santos FC.

Neymar’s return to Santos marks a new chapter in his illustrious career, and fans are eagerly awaiting his debut with the Brazilian club.
