The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has declared a three-day fasting and prayer program to seek divine intervention in Nigeria’s agricultural sector.
According to an internal circular dated June 11, signed by Adedayo Modupe, the ministry’s director of human resource management, the spiritual exercise aims to invoke God’s guidance in achieving food security in Nigeria.
The program, themed “Divine Intervention for Protection and National Development,” will hold at Conference Hall ‘B’ of the ministry’s headquarters in Area 11, Garki, Abuja, from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. on June 16, 23, and 30. All staff members are expected to observe fasting and participate in the prayer sessions.
This initiative comes amid growing concerns over food affordability and supply in Nigeria.
Many citizens have been struggling to access nutritious food, and the ministry’s effort seeks to address these challenges through spiritual intervention.
