Wike Blasts Wabara: “I Would Have Disowned Him If He Was My Father, He Doesn’t Deserve To Be A Leader”
Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has unleashed scathing criticism on Adolphus Wabara, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees.
Wike claimed that Wabara is fueling the crisis between him and Rivers State governor, Siminilayi Fubara, his former protégé.
During a media chat in Abuja on Sunday, January 19, Wike expressed his disapproval of PDP leaders’ attempts to remove the Acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, and the National Secretary, Sam Anyanwu, despite court rulings.
He emphasized that the party constitution is clear, and any resignation must be followed by elections to replace the positions.
Wike’s harshest words were reserved for Wabara, saying, “If Wabara were my father, I would have disowned him. He doesn’t deserve to be a leader. No wonder Obasanjo made a presidential broadcast about his acts of corruption.”
The FCT Minister’s comments come amidst the ongoing power struggle within the PDP.
